Dr. Janette E. Habashi is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Human Relations. Her research with children and indigenous populations examines socialization, national identity, education, political participation/resistance, and children’s rights-based approaches in policy and research. Dr. Habashi is also the founder and executive director of Child’s Cup Full. She grew up in the old city of Jerusalem and has seen that the primary barrier to opportunity for many artisans in the West Bank is access to the international market. She decided to build the Child’s Cup Full toy brand with her students in 2012 and has partnered with organizations such as Aid to Artisans and The Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth to build CCF into a successful company.
